Acupuncture * Sound Mediation
Whether it be acupuncture, massage, or sound healing I am always seeking to treat the root cause of discomfort or disharmony in my patients. My goal is to help guide the body, mind & spirit back into balance where it can perform at its best.
My acupuncture style is rooted in Five Element Theory which is derived from observation of energetic patterns in the natural world. Five Element treats each individual as a whole, unique person and strives to bring the body’s energy back into balance. When the body is in harmony, it creates the optimal environment for healing.
Music and sound have always been a huge influence in my life, and I believe deeply in the Sanskrit expression “Nada Brahma” which translates to: The Universe is Sound. Since my Sound Healing training in Nepal in 2021, I have incorporated sounds and vibrations from various instruments into my treatments with remarkable results.

What Makes My Massage Unique: I believe that each massage is a collaboration between the client and the practitioner. I aim to work with the client to find the source of dysfunction that may be contributing to discomfort, rather than just treating the symptoms.
I find it beneficial to use myofascial techniques to address constrictive connective tissue that may be inhibiting a full range of motion as well as neuromuscular techniques that engage the muscles to offer release.
My massage could be described as slow and patient. I never force my way into the tissues and check in regularly with each client on depth and pressure. I have a strong interest in treatment work for clients with specific focus areas but also enjoy giving an awesome relaxation massage. But above all else, I am dedicated to creating a comforting atmosphere for each individual client.

Craniosacral * Intraoral * Manual Lymphatic Drainage * Sound Meditation
I began practicing massage full time in 2013. I like to take a slow and gentle approach. Using my sensitive skills to listen to the body and work with its natural rhythms. I specialize in Craniosacral Therapy, Intraoral, and Lymphatic Drainage massage.
Craniosacral Therapy uses a series of deeply relaxing holds working with the central nervous system and surrounding structures, helping release tension patterns held in the body.
I previously worked in the dental field for 7 years. It was exciting to be able to bring my dental and massage knowledge together by receiving my Intraoral massage endorsement. Intraoral massage focuses on the muscles inside of the mouth and jaw. It can be very effective in relieving TMJ-D symptoms, headaches, migraines, teeth clenching and grinding.
Lymphatic Drainage is a light rhythmic massage that stimulates the lymphatic system to decrease edema and increase general wellness.
I look forward to working with you.

Welcome, my name is Johanna and the goal of the specialized treatment I offer is for clients to experience long-term pain relief, increase mobility, develop agency, and shift the inter-relational dynamics within their body. In 2016 I graduated from Discovery Point School of Massage and have completed mentorships and certifications that have helped mold who I am and my abilities- but looking back I realize my path to this point began much earlier.
I have always understood the world kinesthetically and loved puzzles. Things which have intrinsically ignited and fueled my ongoing commitment to being an effective and informed therapist. However, the road to becoming an LMT was winding and laden with potholes. The curves included decades in the hospitality industry, learning to tango dance, experiencing and recovering from severe accidents and head traumas, being in therapy, education, and identifying what healed me. All these lessons and the desire to be at home in my own body, informed my path to becoming a massage therapist.
Throughout life, our bodies collect stories. Some are full of love and harrowing acts, others are full of pain, trauma, and disembodiment. I combine effective manual therapy and massage techniques to meet the body at whatever state it is in. These practices guide the fascia, lymph, and the nervous system to move towards a symbiotic state with the mind, emotional, and subtle bodies. They are effective for a variety of physical ailments including: chronic and acute pain, autoimmune issues, nerve issues, stress and other medical complications.
In addition to deepening my knowledge within my massage practice, I spend my time cooking, growing food and medicinal plants, sewing, embroidering, tango dancing, hiking and throwing the perfect dinner gathering. I also love to spend time with my family and wandering in the woods.

I began my massage journey in San Francisco, and have fallen in love with the work and the places I have had the pleasure of working. I was a teaching aide at San Francisco School of Massage and Bodywork, worked in Spa Massage in Honolulu and worked alongside a Chiropractor in Maine.
I have found that working with people that are recovering from injuries and regaining mobility are what I’ve been called to do as a massage therapist. I enjoy working with pre and postnatal clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
My specialities are Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Ortho Bionomy, tied together with Swedish Technique to help bring the body into a space of recovery and healing.

The biggest gift that starting my journey as an LMT has given me is the feeling that I have received an instruction manual to my body and its intricacies. In my work, I strive to bring that feeling to my clients.
Massage and touch therapy is a beautiful gift and a powerful healing modality. I love to work with my clients to bring them back to their bodies and make them feel more at home within themselves. As a queer, non-binary person of color, I have often felt that it is easy to dissociate from yourself in order to survive, and that it is essential to care for yourself in a way that encourages you to thrive, not just survive. We all deserve to thrive, and I aim to help my clients find what their body needs in order to find that safe home within themselves.
My massage style is treatment-focused, steadying, and intuitive, with relaxation techniques sprinkled throughout. I always encourage clients that I am a safe space, and any adjustments or needs requested will be met free of judgement. My massage approach will always be body-positive, client-centered, and will meet you where you’re at, wherever that may be.
In my spare time, you can find me reading, rock climbing, practicing yoga, making jewelry, and hanging out with my partner and our dog and cat.
